The L-Shaped Lawn at Modi Estate – AM Hotel Kollection is an expansive open-air event space that brings together a distinctive layout, natural surroundings, and the graceful character of one of Meerut's most storied hospitality addresses. The lawn's defining L-shaped configuration creates a naturally versatile canvas: one arm of the space can anchor a grand ceremonial setup while the other accommodates dining, a cocktail zone, or pre-function activities — all within a single, flowing outdoor environment. The open sky above and the manicured greenery underfoot lend the venue a sense of occasion that is difficult to replicate indoors.
The setting reflects the heritage and scale of Modi Estate itself, a property with deep roots in Meerut that has been thoughtfully developed into a full-service hotel under the AM Hotel Kollection banner. Guests arriving at the lawn are met with a sense of space and calm that contrasts pleasantly with the energy of city life, making it an ideal backdrop for occasions where atmosphere matters as much as logistics.
The L-Shaped Lawn is well suited to a wide range of celebrations and gatherings. Wedding ceremonies and receptions are a natural fit — the open format supports elaborate floral mandaps, baraat processions, phera setups, and large-scale décor concepts with room to spare. The layout also adapts comfortably to cocktail evenings and mehendi functions, where the two sections of the L can serve distinct purposes simultaneously without crowding.
Beyond weddings, the lawn is a compelling choice for corporate sundowners, product launches, and networking events that benefit from an al fresco setting. Social milestones such as milestone birthdays, anniversary celebrations, and cultural gatherings also find a natural home here, where the combination of open space and hotel-backed infrastructure removes the usual trade-offs between grandeur and convenience.
The property's in-house events team supports planners through the setup and execution process, and the hotel's catering capabilities mean food and beverage arrangements can be handled under one roof — a practical advantage for hosts managing complex multi-vendor events.
Modi Estate – AM Hotel Kollection is located in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, a city with strong road connectivity to Delhi and the wider National Capital Region. The L-shaped configuration naturally divides the space into two connected zones, allowing hosts to run different functions simultaneously — for example, a ceremony in one section and a dining or cocktail setup in the other. This layout is particularly valuable for weddings where multiple rituals or guest groups need to be accommodated within a single outdoor space. It reduces the need for separate venues across different parts of the event day.
The lawn is well suited to outdoor weddings, including ceremonies, receptions, baraat arrivals, mehendi functions, and cocktail evenings. It is also a strong choice for corporate sundowners, product launches, and social celebrations such as milestone birthdays and anniversaries. The open-air format and generous scale make it flexible across both formal and festive occasions.
Yes, the L-shaped layout is designed to support exactly this kind of multi-function wedding programming. One section can be configured for the baraat arrival while the other hosts the ceremonial mandap and phera setup. The events team at Modi Estate can guide planners on the best arrangement based on the expected guest count and décor concept.
The property operates as a full-service hotel under the AM Hotel Kollection banner, and hotel-backed catering capabilities are available for events held at the L-Shaped Lawn. This allows food and beverage arrangements to be managed under one roof, which simplifies coordination for hosts running complex events. Specific menus, packages, and any policies on outside caterers should be confirmed with the events team directly.
While the lawn is a popular choice for weddings, it is also well suited to corporate gatherings such as sundowners, networking events, and product launches that benefit from an open-air setting. The hotel infrastructure supporting the space means corporate hosts have access to professional event services alongside the outdoor ambience. Planners organising corporate programmes should discuss their specific requirements with the property's events team.
The in-house events team at Modi Estate – AM Hotel Kollection assists planners through setup, logistics, and execution, acting as a single point of contact for venue-related coordination. This is especially useful for multi-component events like weddings, where décor, catering, and guest management need to come together seamlessly. The extent of pre-event planning support and any associated charges should be discussed when making an enquiry.
Modi Estate – AM Hotel Kollection is a full-service hotel, so on-site guest rooms are available for attendees travelling from outside Meerut. This is a significant advantage for weddings and multi-day corporate programmes where a portion of the guest list is coming from Delhi or other cities. Room availability and group booking rates should be confirmed with the hotel's reservations team well in advance of the event date.
Meerut is connected to Delhi via NH-58, the Delhi–Haridwar highway, making the property reachable by road for guests travelling from the National Capital Region. The journey time will vary depending on traffic and the point of departure within Delhi. Guests are advised to check current travel conditions and confirm the property's exact address with the hotel when sharing directions with invitees.
Interested hosts can reach out to the events or sales team at Modi Estate – AM Hotel Kollection through the official AM Hotel Kollection website or by contacting the property directly. Pricing for the lawn will depend on the type of event, the number of guests, the services required, and the date selected. It is advisable to enquire well in advance, particularly for peak wedding season dates.
The lawn's flexible layout makes it a practical choice for standalone pre-wedding functions such as mehendi ceremonies or cocktail evenings, not just the main reception. The two arms of the L-shape can be styled differently to suit the tone of each occasion. The events team can advise on how the space has been configured for similar functions in the past.
Policies on external décor vendors vary by property and can also depend on the nature of the event and the specific requirements involved. Prospective hosts should ask the events team at Modi Estate about their vendor policy — including any restrictions, empanelled vendor lists, or conditions that apply to third-party decorators working on-site.
As an open-air venue within an urban setting in Meerut, the L-Shaped Lawn may be subject to local noise regulations and permissible event timings. Hosts planning events with live music, DJs, or amplified sound should confirm applicable curfew times and any related requirements with the property before finalising their event programme.
As an open-air space, the L-Shaped Lawn is subject to weather conditions, and hosts planning events during monsoon months or unpredictable weather seasons should discuss contingency arrangements with the hotel's events team. Options such as temporary canopies, shamianas, or access to an indoor fallback space may be available, and these details should be confirmed at the time of booking.
As a hotel property in Meerut, Modi Estate – AM Hotel Kollection is expected to have parking provisions for guests, which is particularly relevant for large events where many attendees arrive by car. The capacity of the parking area and any arrangements for valet or managed parking for events should be confirmed with the property directly.
The combination of the distinctive L-shaped layout, the heritage character of the Modi Estate precinct, and the full-service hotel infrastructure behind the venue is relatively uncommon among outdoor event spaces in western Uttar Pradesh. Hosts benefit from open-air scale and atmosphere alongside the reliability of professional catering, accommodation, and an experienced events team — without having to piece together multiple vendors and locations. This makes it a practical yet characterful choice for events ranging from grand weddings to corporate gatherings.
